Jackie Robinson Day is April 15
65 years ago at Ebbett's Field, a ballpark that once stood just across the park from Windsor Terrace, a man changed the game of baseball forever. On April 15, 1947 Jackie Robinson had the courage to become the first African-American man to play in the Major Leagues. Tomorrow we all wear # 42.
Padres Pitch, Hit and Run their Way to Big "W" Against 78 Pct.
The Pods pulled out a great 2-1 "W" against a tough 78 Pct. team on Sunday at Dewey Field. This was a classic Bantam game throughout. The Pods pitched, ran and hit their way to a hard fought victory with help for the best parents in the league.

Padres Drop First of Young Season 7-4
The Pods dropped a hard fought contest against the SBBL Cardinals at PP # 7 on Sunday afternoon. The Pods look forward to the rematch in a few weeks. The 1-1 Friars will take the field on Wednesday at Parade Grounds diamond 6. First pitch is scheduled for 5:45 pm.

Padres Fight Hard for First Win of 2014 Campaign
NO WALKS!!!! Yes, no walks given up. The Padres were led by great pitching and a consistent offense. HN came away with a hard fought 4-3 W against 78 Cardello on Saturday at DeMattina Field. Rory got the game ball for his heads up hustle. He stole second, moved to third on a ground out, and stole home on a passed ball. The Friars are back at it tomorrow in Prospect Park at 3 pm.
Getting Ready in Red Hook
The Padres took on our "compadres" from Holy Name in a scrimmage at Red Hook fields on Thursday. Go Pods!
Padres to Open 2014 Season in Familiar Surroundings
The Friars will open the 2014 season at DeMattina Field. DeMattina is located on Hicks St., just off Hamilton Ave. near the entrance to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. DeMattina is where the Pods won the championship last season. See you on Sat. April 5th @ 5:45. We'll take on 78 Cardello. PLAY BALL!

The Padres will be playing on many fields in the park. Here's a handy guide to where they all are. Note: # 1 and field A are at the 10th Ave. entrance. They are the fields closest to Prospect Park S.W.
